Noosa Whale Watching

Noosa Bluewater Charters

Now operating Noosa’s very own whale watching tours directly out of the Noosa Marina at Tewantin.

If you are visiting between May and November, Noosa is an ideal location to add a whale watching adventure to your itinerary.

In autumn the Southern Hemisphere Humpback whales migrate north to the warm waters off the North Queensland coastline to mate and breed. At the end of spring they return south to Antarctica waters to feed on krill. On the way south mothers regularly rest and play with their young in the calm waters of Laguna Bay.

This three-hour tour is an intimate experience with maximum 21 people on the 12-metre long Cougar Cat the Audrey Lorna.

Sightings are almost daily between May and November and the tour takes in the Noosa National Park on its way to the whale migration routes in Laguna Bay. The later months bring sightings of mothers and their calves playing and taking it a little easier on their way home.
